Taking classes like Art of Editing and Post Production tools and all four of the production classes he has honed his skills. In these classes he learned, to sync audio and video, knowledge of film theory for why and how a scene should be sequenced, color grading in Premiere and Davinci, and also being capable in After Effects*. He also took two semester of screenwriting classes to better understand film pacing and storytelling to help his editing, as they say the last rewrite happens in the edit room.

Sound Design

As Luke progressed through school he started to appreciate Sound Design and the process of recording. Growing up as a musician and having the love for music has always drawn Luke towards sound design his entire life. Watching videos on using Focusrite devices to record guitar riffs in and learning music theory in highschool started pointing him in this direction. Now capable at designing soundscapes for movies in post and using professional level sound recording gear such as 6-3-3’s, sound has become his favorite part of the shooting process.

*Luke’s favorite stages to work in post are title sequences, color grading, and After Effects.

Videography

In school Luke has used and learned on professional grade cameras like the Sony FX-9 and Reds.

Photography

Loving cars as a youngster and wanting to avoid gardening Luke started taking photos very young in his backyard. As he got older he couldn’t kick the habit and started to bring his camera with him everywhere and learned how to edit his photos for the best possible product. He’d photograph anything he thought was unique but loved car photography the most, often times going to any car meet he could find or stopping for twenty minutes to photograph a cool car her saw on the street.
